Pros and cons of Air Media Center app for iPhone and iPad

Air Media Center app good for

Far better and cheaper than Airvideo. Faster and reliable. Although it is still missing subtitles and download features, support team is very good and promissed to have these improvements in the next version.
Update to 2.1 shows major improvements and all picture features are back. So far App works very well and can be recommended again. 5 stars if size of preview pics in See all would be selectable or number of pics shown per page could be selected :)
Its work automatically on Lion OS ... On snow leopard its difficult
I just got this app for free and now that I have used it, I know I would have payed for it. Although it is a great app, during the end of each episode the video slows down and lags. All in all, I would recommend this app.
I have tried every app including Cinexplayer and HD Player. Nothing is simpler than this for streaming media files from your OSx device. Airplay also work amazing.
The previous version although quite good had some interface issues... I love the updates new look as it seems to give fix those issues while also giving the app a fresh new look, well done!

Some bad moments

Pro: - Streams even FullHD-MKV flawlessly - Easy setup Con: - No DVD-structure-support - No subtitle support - No choice between available audio-streams - No download option for taking videos "to go" offline with you Conclusion: better stick to a good DLNA server and 8player or VLC for iOS as clients.
Was one of the best in its class but since the update you miss certain functionality like "See all" and magnify for the pictures. If it gets not fixed "Stream to me" is now probably the better app choice.
I prefer StreamToMe as it can sort files in your iTunes library by track name, or track number, by show, by season, by whatever you want really. This app would be better if it was more like StreamToMe and didnt just give a random list of file names, which is made worse if iTunes manages your library since the file names will all start with the track number so Air Media Center will show a list with every file preceded by the track number. This is nearly impossible to sort through for large libraries in Air Media Center. I much prefer the GUI and file management structure of StreamToMe
While the app is easy to set up and viewing photos works okay, it does not stream video well. In fact, I have not been able to watch anything other than "loading" and "buffering" screens. A request for support to the developer has gone unanswered for several days. Overall, a poor experience.
Same problems here, like the previous review. It keeps on buffering for ever. The screen shows "loading 1" and its counting up. I waited until it reach "loading 99" and still nothing. Retried many times. No luck. Sorry, but this app is just a waste of time.
Unfortunately, since I upgrade to Mountain Lion, this excellent app dont work again. The last update is February 2012, a long ... very long time ago.
