Air Media Center App Reviews

Clean simple and works better than similar products ive tried. Please build proper support for video out. I stream videos to my phone while its hooked up to a mini projector. Videos are smaller than they would be if proper video out was supported. Thank you!!

I have been using Air Media Center on my iPad to stream via airplay to my Samsung TV since Apple does not support direct airplay streaming on Macbook pro 2010 (or earlier). Thank you. it is a work around, but it works. There could be better controls though.

I havent tried other features yet but its just so slow to stream data even if I have good wi-fi connection. Ill keep it around until it improves but Ill keep using my Air Video Server.

Works well. Transcodes quickly. Good video quality. However when streaming to an Apple TV audio is converted from 5.1 surround to simple stereo. If you need surround sound go with airvideo hd.

Their computer software doesn’t work with my Apple Time Capsule 802.11 ac for external connectivity. So I can’t access from outside using this iOS app And support has never returned my emails asking for help. I trashed it all and our the cost of the app. 3 emails now - not 1 response from their support. Good luck people

Cant say enough good things about this product. Paired with PC app and WMC on my Win7 laptop (with a USB HDTV adapter) I can watch any recorded TV program. Start recording any live TV program on laptop and you can immediately watch on iPad!! Immediately recognizes all other desktops on my wi-if network and can view/play most media. Terrific media player!

Stuck loading with no way to cancel.

No updates... Boring theme. Less options. Less buttons. No gesture. I thinking to switch to another app. There are better ones since ios8 is here

App is not working at all on iOS 8.1. This used to be a good App but if its not fixed soon I will get a new App.

I purchased the app and downloaded and installed the server program for my PC. My iPad and iPhone cannot connect with server either automatically or manually. An email to customer service has gone unanswered for over a week. Looks like a waste of money.

I needed an app to run .ogg files on my phone. So I spent the $1.99 to get AMC. First, I tried to open the .ogg file that I had on hand and it wouldnt let me use AMC. Then, when I went to open the app, it said it wouldnt work unless it was connected to a (I assume) Mac computer. I dont have a Mac computer. But I need to run .ogg files on my iPhone. So Im pretty much out of luck. And out of $1.99. Dont waste your money!

So, Air Media was my go-to for ages. A constant issue has always been slow loading, frequent buffering, and issues streaming to Apple TV. It worked great when it worked, but the slow loading (of even the library itself, not just the media itself) got frustrating. I chalked it up to less than par connection or slow phone, until I downloaded Plex. Plex blows this app out of the water, and now I only use air media for the few things I dont have organized right for Plex. If the connection was faster and Air Media downloaded the metadata like Plex, then it would be great! Until then.... Its just so-so.
